I have been busy at work painting small paintings in a variety of styles.  Why?  Because I can!  It's such a joy to just explore different styles and techniques.  We'll see where I finally settle back into in the future but for now it's all about having a little FUN!  Hope everyone is enjoying my adventures as much as I am.

New England Lupine are a beauty to behold when they erupt all over fields from one end of Maine to the other in the spring.

"Field of Daisies"

A small sweet painting that was painted just for the fun of painting it!  Looking forward to spring and all the joys a lovely field of flowers can bring to one's day!

"I have but one desire as a painter - that is to paint what I see, as I see it, in my own way, without regard for the desires or taste of professional dealers or the professional collection."

"Desert Hare"

A "Daily Painting" in the relaxed colorful Southwestern style!  I haven't had so much fun in years painting these little jewels of creativity!

Oil on 6" x 6" composite panel with primed watercolor paper surface.

I have been working recently on triple primed watercolor paper that is glued to composite wood panels.  It's a great surface if you like a smooth surface for your oil paintings.

"Just For The Fun Of It"

I was going to start this very "serious" painting of a strawberry today and all of a sudden I just felt like "I don't feel like being serious right now!"  I decided to do something very spontaneous and this was the results.  Like it or hate it, it was fun!

"Graphite Studies"

I have been feeling like changing things up a bit lately so I've been doing
a little graphite pencil work for a change of pace.
Really need to find the time to do more drawing besides the quick,
get it to the canvas so I can start the painting part.

"Laying Down on the Job"

In my continuing quest to "keep it simple, small and quick."  This might be a bit larger than six by six inches but it was about an hour painting it so I guess one could call that QUICK!
